Course Objective

Be able to teach the basic concepts of jewellery history, an overlook to jewellery in prehistoric ages and to instruct the history of jewellery in Anatolia and other western civilizations.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to define the basic concepts related with the history of jewellery.
2   Be able to designate jewellery with its main features during the prehistoric ages.
3   Be able to classify Anatolian jewellery.
4   Be able to specify jewellery of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Ancient Greece and Roman civilizations.
5   Be able to explain Western art jewellry, history and style.

Assessment Criteria

Theoretical intermediate examination, midterm project application study and final examination will be measured along with five study printouts.

Every student is obliged to participate in at least 70% of the lessons. Every cheating action performed during the lessons and examinations will be evaluated within the disciplinary action.
