Course Objective

The course objektive is to make students aware of the concept of historicity of mankind, its reception and its meaning as existence from the viewpoint of ethnos/tribe/nation in terms of its development from mythical to historical . The study in this course will be based on cosmogonic, cosmologic myths and epical texts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Know about the importance of relations between myth/astrology history/astronomy.
2   Know that alination is caused by not sharing historicity.
3   Recognize the links of cosmology and cosmogony to time and place.
4   Recognize falling into time as the construction of culture and its canonization itself.
5   Know about how to use mythological and literary texts in historical research.
6   Can prepare presentations by using comparative methods.
