Course Objective

To improve the ability of the students to read and understand English texts and to develop professional communication

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Can able to have basic communication skills with patients who speaks English
2   Can able to read and understand the medical records of the patient
3   Can able to read and understand the medical literature at least with help of a dictionary
4   Can able to tell and write the medical condition of the patient to other parties
5   Can read and understand the technical and operative manuals of essential devices
6   Can able to give medical information about the patient

2 Reading current Professional manuals (BLS/ACLS algorithms in ACLS manuals)
3 Reading current Professional manuals (definition of paramedics in the world; similarities and differences)
4 Body parts and related complaints in English
5 Communication with patient-1 (introducing yourself)
6 Communication with patient-2 (conversation techniques, oral and body language)
7 Communication with patient-3 (frequently asked questions, anamnesis )
8 Communication with patient-4 (diseases)
9 Communication with patient-5 (trauma)
10 Communication with patient-6 (children and old patients)
11 Communication with patient-6 (physical examination)
12 Medical English abbreviation terminology
