Course Objective

The purpose of the course is to obtain the proper method and the descriptive statistical data for the research and to ensure correct interpretation of the results with respect to the use of basic statistical techniques.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To learn the basic definitions and concepts related to statistics,
2   To learn the data collection, data summarizing and organization, and the scientific methods on the statistical analysis of the data,
3   To organize data resulting from research in terms of tables and graphical methods,
4   To create and interpret confidence interval values,
5   To make rational decisions based on statistical techniques, and to obtain valid results,
6   To calculate chi-square test for independence,
7   To calculate and assessment simple linear regression and correlation analysis,
8   To solve problems using one of the most widely used statistical software package on the implementation of programs,

It is calculated by taking 40% average grade of Midterm exams, 60% of the final exam success rating.

Assessment Criteria

The understanding degree of students to 8 learning outputs is evaluated by midterm and final exams.
