General Description
History |
Apparel Textile Technology Program in 1994 with the name of the program with the support of the Aegean Clothing and Apparel Exporters Association has been established. 2 year program consists of four semesters of 14 weeks. This two year program in the process of theoretical lectures, workshops, applications and industry based training is provided. To teach students the basic concepts of the program in conjunction with the textile and clothing industry and develop their skills in the workshop manual is intended for applications. The program aims to meet the need for qualified people in the industry today and in the future. On the basis of fashion and technological developments of our age, Textile, Clothing and Fashion industry gained professional qualifications needed, to train qualified professionals. The educational program and the students enhancing their ability to form, color, material, structure, function, intended to provide you with optimal relations, creative and original products. |

Specific Admission Requirements |
Graduates of related vocational high schools gain right to enrol the programme without taking any examinations. Other high school graduates need to take the transition to Higher Education Examination conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Centre and have to obtain adequate score to enrol. |

Qualification Requirements and Regulations |
The student must complete 2 years of study acquiring 120 (ECTS) credits. This degree is awarded to students who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum, compulsory 30 days of internship and have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00/4.00 and no failing grades. |
Profile of the Programme |
The program covering the textile and apparel industry, based on information theoretical courses, vocational college classrooms is given, the application of the program courses are workshop. Students in the second year 6 weeks (30 working days compulsory) courses during the application and complete the internship based on their industry. Textile Technology Program, formal education is given in Turkish. 45 people were in the first grade and second grade 90 students for a total of 45 people are in education and training. The program has five teaching assistants. Izmir Vocational School of Textile Technology program are used by the first workshop. In this workshop, molding, production and draped level courses students can practice tools, machinery and equipment are available. Production and studies made during the year, as of year end fashion shows, exhibitions and technical visits also performed. |

Students graduating from textile, garment production enterprises in the field of production technology, capable of 5th level professional staff, administrative assistant, formal and non-formal secondary education institutions can be employed as master trainers, setting up their own business is to train the student has the ability to manufacture. |
Access to Further Studies |
Graduate students; Fashion Apparel Design, Fashion Design, Fashion and Textile Design, Textile, Textile Engineering, Textile Design, Textile and Fashion Design Parts transition to the vertical. In addition, the Open Education Faculty of Economics and Business section in the vertical transition is possible. |
