Course Objective

To learn the sections of mountains and plateaus, land-use models in various mountain and plateau types.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1	To learn formation, natural properties and importance of mountains and plateaus in Turkey
2	Learning of socio-economic properties of the mountains and plateaus in Turkey.
3	Learning of positive and negative aspects of the mountains and plateaus in terms of land-use in Turkey.
4	Learning of principles of sustainable land-use in various parts of mountains and plateaus in Turkey
5	Learning of land-uses of mountains and plateaus in the World

5	Geo-ecological evaluation of the mountains.
6	The evaluation of mountain and mountain types in terms of land-use.
7	The evaluation of mountain in terms of agriculture and animal husbandry.
8	MIDTERM EXAM
9	The evaluation of mountain in terms of tourism and recreation.
10	The evaluation of mountain in terms of mining, energy and hydrological conditions.
11	The types of Plateau and the elements which constitute plateaus.
12	The types of Plateau and the elements which constitute plateaus.
13	The settlements and plateaus. Agriculture and animal husbandry in plateaus.
