Course Objective

At the end of this course, it is aimed that the students learn the period described as "classical period" Ottoman from point of political, economic, legal and social aspects.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to explain the emergence of the Ottoman Principality
2   To be able to explain and discuss the relationships with Byzantine and Anatolian principalities in early period
3   To be able to comment on the conquest of Istanbul and reorganization of state by Fatih
4   To be able to explain the formation of the Grooming and "Kul" system
5   To be able to show the expansion areas of the Empire on the map
