Course Objective

At the end of this course, students acquire knowledge of developments in the Turkish Educational History from the first reform efforts in education of the Ottoman Empire to the present by learning the importance of Turkish Education History.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. To be able to summarize the historical development of teacher training institutions
2   2. To be able to write the historical development of the Ministry of Education
3   3. To be able to know the main people and institutions of the Republican Period Education History
4   4. To be able to tell the development of the Turkish education system
5   5. To be able to analyze the the historical development of the Turkish education from beginning to the present
