Course Objective

Students can understand a foreign language at an advanced level of knowledge; students can express feelings and thoughts on the basis of visual and oral texts introduced in the course.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students are able to understand and read texts written in German at an advanced level (B2/C1).
2   Students are able to fluently release comments on these texts.
3   Students are able to understand audio and visual media German texts at the B2 and C1 level.
4   Students are able to express their opinions with regard to the texts and the topics covered in the texts.
5   Students are able to finish or to resonctruct (orally) auditory and visual texts presented to them partially.

2 Training of reading strategies and strategies for taking notes while listening to auditory/visual texts.
3 Comprehension and oral summarization of texts at B2/C1- level
4 Text interpretation using adequate vocabulary (B2/C1)
5 Retelling and (oral) interpretation of texts form different perspectives using appropriate vocabulary.
6 Retelling and (oral) interpretation of texts form different perspectives using appropriate vocabulary.
7 Repetition
8 Midterm Exam
9 Personal expression of feelings and thoughts on different topics and texts on the basis of intensive vocabulary training related to this task.
10 Personal expression of feelings and thoughts on individually chosen topics (using appropriate B2/C1-vocabulary related to this task).
11 Oral summarization and interpretation of texts followed by written summarization and interpretation of texts -
12 Oral summarization and interpretation of texts followed by written summarization and interpretation of texts -
13 Reconstruction and/or continuation of auditory or visual texts presented partially, using appropriate B2/C1-vocabulary combined with grammatical training of aspects relevant to task (and texts).
14 Reconstruction and/or continuation of auditory or visual texts presented partially, using appropriate B2/C1-vocabulary combined with grammatical training of aspects relevant to task (and texts).
