Course Objective

Studying of the dialectical relationship between language and culture, the cultural dimensions and the structure of language. The cultural functions of language, which forms the sound, feeling and the thinking world of each individual. The formation of the cultural diversity awareness by pointing to the importance of correct use of native language and the need for foreign language learning.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student can learn the correct and good using of Turkish
2   The student can grasp the cultural importance of Turkish and foreign language
3   The Student can know the need of foreign language for intercultural dialogue
4   The student is able to perceive the effect of culture on speech and the language
5   The student is able to grasp the close relationship between language and culture
