Course Objective

Informing basic concepts in abstract mathematics and using these concepts in applications

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to explain the basics of logic; use the propositional logic and calculate truth value of propositions
2   Be able to explain the relation between logic and mathematics and be able to use mathematical descriptions and the proof methods
3   Be able to create sets and be able to use the procedures on sets
4   Be able to identify the concepts of relation and function by giving examples and use the procedures on functions
5   Be able to examine the functions under the perspective on sets and use in applications
6   Be able to make comments about the features of natural numbers
7   Be able to use prepositional logic in the daily situations
