Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students get knowledgeable about the discipline problems, prevention and intervention strategies, about developing rules and motivation, about consultation services to arrange the relations between teachers students and families, to generate a developmental counseling approach towards application of classroom guidance activities, ethical principles, counselor characteristics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Comprehend the aims and principles of classroom guidance activities
2   Explain the content, scope and ethical rules of school counseling
3   Differentiate the behavior modification approaches
4   Develop ability to maintain rules and motivation in class
5   Integrate the counseling theories and the related skills with the consultation activities towards teachers, students and families
6   Be wistful to arrange learning and teaching environments and group guidance activities through the developmental counseling approach
