Course Objective

Learning counseling and guidance services in educatonal settings by observing and experiencing under supervision.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will be able to understand counseling and guidance services in various settings.
2   Students will be able to understand administration of counseling and guidance services in various settings.
3   Students will be able to carry out counseling and guidance services in various settings.
4   Students will be able to assess effectiveness of counseling and guidance services in various settings.
5   Students will be able to apply an elected suitable non-test technique to a group, evaluate the and report application results and to share them with concerned.

2 Investigation of Psychological Counseling and Guidance Works in various institutions
3 Investigation of Special Education Guidance and Counseling Service General Management
4 Investigation of a sample guidance research center
5 Investigation of Occupational Adequacy Institution works
6 Investigation of Psychological Counseling and Guidance Service in a medico-social centre of any university
7 To participate in Guidance and Psychological Counseling practices at school
8 Midterm
9 To execute of Guidance and Psychological Counseling works foreseen by a school program with school psychological counselor
10 Revision of test and non-test techniques
11 Definition and revision of tests applied
12 Definition and revision of non-test techniques applied.
13 Non-test technique applications, to apply an elected suitable non-test technique to a group. Evaluation of application results that analyzed with some statistical techniques, to report application results and to share them with concerned.
14 Investigation of school guidance and psychological counseling program
15 Final exam
