Course Objective

Course Objective: This is a course designed for school counselors who are interested in learning about basic principles and techniques of psycho educational group activities. The objective of this course is to present the essential theories of group dynamics and review the relevant literature.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Acquire an overview of the essential theories of group dynamics
2   Understand the process of group format selection, member selection, group development ,conducting and terminating groups
3   Be aware of how different types of group work are appropriate for different client needs, including multicultural and developmental needs.
4   Formulate concrete well informed plans of assessment for various problem areas
5   Enhance personal growth
