Course Objective

To be able to hear and write dominant seventh chords, to write one part melody dictation in four sharped and flatted major/minor tune, to write two part melody dictation in three sharped and flatted major/minor tune, to gain competence about reading in G, F and C clef and gain the skills on sigtreading.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Gains the basic knowledge about music and uses on musical hearing, reading and writing studies.
2   Gains tonal hearing.
3   Comrehends and writes dominant seventh chord and inversions.
4   Comrehends and writes four sharped and flatted major/minor tonality.
5   Writes two part melody dictation in three sharped and flatted major/minor tune.
6   Reads the tonal solfege pieces in G, F and C clef.

7 Two part melody dictation in three sharped minor tune, reading solfege.
8 Midterm exam.
9 One part melody dictation in four flatted major tune, reading solfege.
10 One part melody dictation in four flatted minor tune, reading solfege.
11 Two part melody dictation in three flatted major tune, reading solfege.
