Course Objective

To be able to harmonization to a given soprano and bass melody, able to harmonic analyze, able to comprehend and put into practice accompany models on the piano.

2   Uses II, III, VI. and VII. degree chords progressions.
3   Uses II, III, VI. and VII. degree chords in bass and soprano part harmonization.
4   Builds secondary dominant chords and uses in harmonic progression.
5   Identifies the note which is secondary dominant in a given melody.
6   Uses all the degrees of a key in bass and soprano part harmonization.

1 The II, III, VI. and VII. degree chords of a key.
2 The II, III, VI. and VII. degree chords progressions.
3 Using the II, III, VI. and VII. degree chords in root position in soprano part harmonization.
4 Using the II, III, VI. and VII. degree chords in root position in bass part harmonization.
5 The secondary dominants.
6 The soprano part harmonization by using secondary dominants.
7 The bass part harmonization by using secondary dominants
8 Midterm exam.
9 Harmonization studies all about the learned topics.
10 Modulation in march-harmonic.
11 Modulation in march-harmonic.
12 Harmonization studies by using march-harmonic
13 Harmonization studies by using march-harmonic
14 Practising march-harmonic on the piano.
15 Final exam.
