Course Objective

To be able to harmonization to a given soprano and bass melody, able to harmonic analyze, able to comprehend and put into practice accompany models on the piano.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Identifies the note which causes the modulation in a given melody and sets off the modulation.
2   Harmonizes a melody with modulation in a correct way.
3   Identifies the note which is altered and makes the classification of alterations in a correct way.
4   Harmonizes the altereted notes by using the correct functions of the key.
5   Writes a contrapuntal melody.
6   Writes an accompaniment for piano related a given melody.
7   Plays his/her own accompaniment on the piano.
