Course Objective

Making to enable student teachers to teach Life Sciences course taught 1-2 and 3rd grades in elementary schools both theoretically and practically. In addition, they will also have an idea about the general aims, contents and practices of the New Program launched in Turkey in 2004

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Able to know the purpose and content of Life Sciences course.
2   Able to know students' cognitive development features and adapting them to Life Sciences course.
3   Able to know and practicing all teaching strategies, methods and techniques used in Life Sciences course.
4   Able to know and practice all assessment and evaluation methods used in Life Sciences course.
5   Able to know the importance of Life studies in rising efficient citizens.

6 Themes in Life studies education and its distribution to the classes.
7 Different teaching approaches to teach empathy (practice)

9 Case studies as the tools for transferring life itself to classroom in teaching Life Sciences I
10 Drama with theoretical and practice parts
