Course Objective

Starting from the first ages of Ottoman Period, to enable the students to learn the political and social history of Ottoman Empire and as well as of the institutions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will evaluate the place of Ottoman history in Islamic history.
2   Will see the political, administrative, military, social, economic and cultural structure of Ottoman Empire.
3   Will analyze the contribution of Ottoman culture and civilization to Islamic culture and civilization.
4   Will learn the elements established Ottoman civilization and their historical background and development.
5   Will compare the Ottoman Empire and Europe with regard to economy, social life and science.
