Course Objective

To enable students to have knowledge about the elements played role in Anatolian Turkish history and Culture.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will get knowledge about when and how Anatolia was called "Turkiye"
2   Will learn which elements played role in Anatolia to be Islamised and Turkized
3   Will get knowledge about Kaşgarlı Mahmud s work: "Divânu Lugâti't-Türk"
4   Will get knowledge main characteristics of Bektaşilik and its role and place in Anatolian Turkish culture
5   Will learn Ahilik and its place in Anatolian Turkish History and Culture
