Course Objective

In this course, it is aimed to enable the student to get acquainted with the definition, reasons and types of violence against women which is an important social problem, plan the interventions aimed at preventing the violence and raise awareness in the society regarding this subject.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student can explain the concepts regarding Social Gender Inequality
2   The student can explain the definition and types of violence against women
3   The student can be acquainted with national and international laws regarding the violence against women
4   The student can be acquainted with roles of healthcare workers aimed at preventing the violence against women and supporting them in case of exposure
5   The student can perform peer education aimed at raising awareness in the society for the prevention of violence against women
6   The student can perform peer education aimed at raising awareness in the society for the prevention of violence against women
