Course Objective

The discipline of ethnomusicology which comprises music education researches with any other subjects, mainly uses ethnographic methods. The object of the course is to teach the knowledge about ethnographic methods and to give the skill of practicing them in music education researches.

1   Knows the definition and the scope of ethnomusicology.
2   Knows the subjects which ethnomusicology discipline works in music education field.
3   Knows the socio-cultural context of music education.
4   Knows ethnographic methods being used in music education researches.
5   Analyses scientific Works carried out with ethnographic methods in music education field.
