Course Objective

The discipline of ethnomusicology that comprises music education researches with any other subjects, mainly uses ethnographic methods. The object of the course is to teach the knowledge about ethnographic methods and to give the skill of practicing them in music education researches.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knows ethnographic methods and its principles for the purpose of using in music education researhes.
2   Knows methods and techniques of field work in music education researches.
3   Knows the techniques of musical ethnography in music education researches.
4   Analyses scientific Works carried out with ethnographic methods in music education field.
5   Achieves the skill of making scientific researches by using ethnographic methods in music education field.
