Course Objective

To have knowledge about different learning methods and approaches towards the concepts of geometry with utilizing the related studies in the literature, to be familiar with geometry learning environments and the learning tools that can be used in these environments and to have an experience and a studying discipline for using these knowledge actively.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To know basic concepts of geometry teaching.
2   To be able comprehend different learning methods and approaches in geometry teaching.
3   To be able to famialiar with geometry learning environments and different tools that can be used in these environments.
4   To be able to design a learning environment for teaching a concept of geometry.
5   To be able to evaluate designed learning environment.

4 Researches on learning environments of geometry teaching.
5 Researches on learning environments of geometry teaching.
6 Different approaches towards constructing concepts in geometry teaching and designing geometry learning environments.
7 Different approaches towards constructing concepts in geometry teaching and designing geometry learning environments.
8 Midterm exam.
9 Designing a learning environment for teaching a concept of geometry.
10 Designing a learning environment for teaching a concept of geometry.
11 Making a pilot study of designed learning environment within high school geometri lesson.
12 Making a pilot study of designed learning environment within high school geometri lesson.
13 Evaluating the designed learning environment in the context of methods and approaches in the literature.
