Course Objective

To know the methods of modern criticism, andevaluate a text in this direction.

2   To determine the location and importance of literary criticism in Turkish Literature.
3   Evaluate literary texts in terms of community, artist, reader-oriented criticism, and works

1 Criticism (development process of criticism), theoretical and practical criticism
2 Criticism of Western literature (classical, neoclassical, romantic, modern)
3 Literary criticism in the Tanzimat period (Ziya Paşa, Nâmık Kemal, R.M. Ekrem, Muallim Naci )
4 Literary criticism in Servet-I Fünun (Cenab Şahabettin, Ali Ekrem, Hüseyin Cahit)
5 Literary criticism in the Turkish National Literature Era
6 Literary criticism in the Turkish Republican Literature Era
7 Critism about the society, artist, reader and trace
8 Midterm Exam
9 Community-oriented criticism (history, sociology, Marxist)
10 Artist-oriented criticism (and criticism of psychoanalysis)
11 Readers and a work-oriented criticism (New criticism New Criticism, Criticism archetype)
12 Genres according to the methods of literary criticism.
13 Criticism of the story according to the methods of literary criticism
