School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation was established in 03/07/1992 with the legislation number 3887 as the third school of Turkey and the first in Aegean Region giving undergraduate physiotherapy education. The period of the program includes 8 semesters (excluding two semesters for English preparatory period) and the language of the program is Turkish |

Profile of the Programme |
School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation located in Dokuz Eylul University Health Campus started to give education in 1993-1994 academic year. The aim of the program is raise physiotherapists who can assess patients, plan and apply physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs, implement therapies and conservative strategies to disabled people in order to increase independency level in their daily life, design specific exercises and give recommendations to children, adults and healthy populations to prevent injuries and improve physical fitness. Educational program includes theoretical courses and practical courses supported by clinical studies. In addition to summer practices in second and third year, the educational program includes practices in departments of our school and other outpatient centers in terms of clinical practice course in last year. In our department's bachelor program consists of joint compulsary and elective courses including total 240 ECTS. Elective courses consists of at least 25 % of the program.Project studies involve investigation and description of the problems, production of solutions, and application of these solutions by the students. |

The graduates of this program can work in hospitals and establishments affiliated to Ministry of Health, health units affiliated to Social Security Institution, private physiotherapy and rehabilitation centers, sports clubs, private hospitals and nursing homes, also in government and private universities giving physiotherapy education. |

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
Students must continue at least 70 % of theoretical courses and % 80 of practical courses. Assessments are based on midterm exam/exams, final exam, success of homework and projects. Students must attend midterm and final exams and be rated over 60/100 to be successful. |
Graduation Requirements |
The Bachelor's Degree is awarded to students who have succesfully completed all courses in the curriculum, cumulative grade point average of at least 60 on a 100 scale and have got no failing grades. |
